Chocolate and edible flower wedding cake

While we never pretend to be professional old school fancy bakers, we pulled out the stops for designer friend Ptolemy Mann at her recent wedding in Wadhurst, Sussex.




Ptolemy’s brief was to create a delicious centrepiece to her English flower themed wedding, set in the beautiful, bucolic surroundings of Beals Barn Nursery in the East Sussex countryside outside Wadhurst.

Sally created a three tier Dark Belgian chocolate cake, filled with chocolate ganache and wild, kirsch soaked cherries. The outside was decorated with edible English country flowers, edible gilt leaves and topped by two little sugar cherubs.

We hope you agree it looked the part, but you have to take our word that it tasted even better than it looked!
